I was thinking the other day after I watched another news story about a miracle medical procedure that changed a young boy’s life from misery to normalcy. I was wondering how on earth the process of developing these new techniques come about. I asked my friend Dan who works in the medical area, and he told me that the real unsung heroes of medical research and development are medical engineers. These people work at a medical device manufacturing facility and create and develop the devices and tools that make all these new ideas actually do-able. I had never thought about that side of it.
