What is A Joke?
A joke is something told that has a humorous twist. Jokes come in many forms. They can come in the question-and-answer format, like the “Knock, knock” jokes. A joke can even be just one line or one sentence. Some jokes are really lengthy or that is, they are in story format. Long jokes should have a punchline at the very end that will make them humorous. What makes a joke humorous is the sarcasm, word play, irony, and such other similar devices. Some people mistake pranks as jokes. What makes pranks and jokes different is that jokes merely use words while pranks employ actions.
