King Tut Death Mask Doesn’t Appear in Exhibit

I’ve always been fascinated by ancient Egyptian culture and the pharaohs – specifically King Tut. When the hyped up exhibit came to San Francisco I couldn’t wait to go and see the array of treasures excavated from the tomb. But despite being one of the most widely recognised symbols for King Tut, his famous solid gold death mask was not on display. Apparently it remains in the Valley of the Kings in Egypt. This was a bit of a letdown, despite the exhibit itself being really amazing. I guess this just means that I’m going to have to plan a visit to Egypt in the near future!
