A friend of mine has been looking at his options to get a car to drive himself around the city while he is here for a vacation. I was pretty sure there are a few places in town that do car rentals so I told him I would take care of it for him. As it happens one of the companies was just around the corner from my work so I stopped in to see them on my lunch break. Sure enough, they were able to help me out with getting a reasonably priced vehicle for my friend to use while he was here.

My husband wants to book a trip to Europe this year for our anniversary, and I do not speak any foreign dialects so I guess I will have to see what kind of training is available. I could go online and try to find language program reviews if there are any. I might also call the school and see if the teachers there could recommend any particular ones to me. I think I could learn that way, I remember the records I had to listen too when I was trying to learn Spanish in school, but it didn’t stick, I still cannot say but a few words.

I’m a professor at a local university and even though I have tenure there, I still enjoy writing the occasional research paper. The one aspect I don’t like is my citation at the end. I’m getting older and there are just some things I don’t enjoy doing anymore, listing my sources after spending weeks writing a paper is one of them. Thanks to the mla citation generator, I don’t have to worry about it anymore. With just a few key pieces of information put in, such as book title and author, I can have my citation page created specifically for me.

When I told my seven year old that she was going to receive some extra help with her reading, she was not very happy. She told me that she did not want to spend more time on school. Would you like to be able to run a free background check on the Internet? It is actually a fairly simple thing to do. The first thing that you need to do is to look on Google in order to find out there is any information that is available directly. Second that you do is to look on some of the other background check websites for her to find out if they are able to offer you any additional information. When my exmormon dad turned 60, we had the greatest murder mystery party hosted by my sister. She really knocked herself out and her place looked awesome. She lined the walls with black plastic, we all dressed in costumes, her garage was made to look like a graveyard, and we were all given funny scripts to read. I was a tarot card reader and because I didn’t want to spend the money on real tarot cards, I used flashcards with pictures. It was pretty funny and maybe more entertaining than using real ones. The food was awesome too and my exmormon dad had a great time. His brother even flew in.

The best video games come from the minds of true geeks. The types of guys you can usually find perusing (and I’m using that world correctly) through Tech Lists all day. Take the latest Brutal Legend by video game legend Tim Schafer. The guy knows his stuff. From the Monkey Island games of my childhood to the latest Jack Black starring vehicle, he does a really great job of achieving what most cannot. Well, what almost all cannot. He makes video games funny. Often, video games will NOT play funny at all. In fact, the jokes will fall flat on their faces. Bringing someone into the shoes of a character doesn’t mean that you’re adapting their sense of humor (which is often that of an 8 year old). Tim Schafer understands that by writing for both his audience and the children who might be playing his games. It takes a true geek to write a solid, sincere video game and Tim Schafer is always the man for the job.
