Richland County and Columbia Homes

In 1786, the county of Richland was established in South Carolina. The counties main city is the capital city of Columbia. The city of Columbia was established right after the Revolutionary way and is one of Americas first planned cities. When planning the capital city geographic location was important. Columbia is conveniently located in the middle of the state for easy access to all its citizens. When visiting Columbia South Carolina, one needs to visit the historic state capitol which was still under construction when General Sherman marched into the capitol. Much of Columbia Homes have deep historical roots.
