Motorola Radios for the House and Barn
My parents own a large horse ranch, and ever since I was in high school, it’s driven my mom crazy that she can’t talk to my dad when he is in the barn. But they don’t have cell phone service of any kind at the ranch, so mom didn’t really have any good solutions. Until a few weeks ago when I suggested to her that she get motorola radios, and put one in the house and one in the barn. She loved the idea, and so when they arrived, I helped her set them up and learn to use them. Now she can talk to dad when she needs him – although I keep telling her the ladle and iron triangle would have worked just as well!
