How to Install Cabinet Hardware
If you’re looking to do a kitchen reworking you can save some money by hanging the cabinet door hinges yourself. It doesn’t take much in the way of tools or hardware. All that you need is masses of time, patience and a drill and a screw driver. Door hinges are the 1st item that you’ll have to install. For smaller cupboard doors you may use two hinges while large cabinets will need three to support the extra weight. now you have the hinge location marked on the frame and door, drill a little set of pilot holes into the door frame for the hinge mount. Hold the door up to the hinges and make sure it sits square to the cupboard. Mark the pilot holes in the cupboard door. Now it is time to drill the pilot holes in the cupboard doors themselves. Don’t drill absolutely thru the door! All that you need is a shallow hole for the screw to bind into.
